Unlike years ago, today's bean bags are even better! When many adults think of bean bag chairs they think of a round shiny vinyl, cheap looking "sack" that is filled with hard beads that you sit on and the beans go crunch. Not the case....today you most commonly find bean bag chairs that are filled with a high-quality foam filling or polystyrene beads that bounce back when you squeeze them. These materials last a very long time and keep it looking and feeling as soft as the day you bought it. Outer material of bean bag chairs today are materials such as denim, cotton, leather, suede and soft vinyl. When researching a bean bag chair you want to consider if you want a liner for your chair. Liners are available with many of the bean bag furniture styles out there today and it will allow you to take the outer cover off to wash it. Most fabrics can be washed in mild soap on delicate and be just fine, again, prolonging the life of your bean bag chair. Without the liner you will not be able to remove the cover and will have to spot clean. Liners also allow for ease of re-filling your chair.
There are so many uses for bean bag chairs and furniture. Commonly, a bean bag chair is used in a game room or rec room at home. With sizes ranging from 3 feet around to 7 feet long, bean bags can quickly become the most comfortable furniture in your home. My personal favorite is the foam lounger that comes in beautiful suede fabrics and is available in 5, 6 and 7 foot sizes. The colors are practical colors that match most any home. Another common place for a bean bag is a child's room. You will find that if you customize a bean bag chair with your child's name it will become your child's own personal chair and soon be where you will find her reading, singing, playing and just relaxing. Talk about a great gift! May be you have a graduate going away to college or getting an apartment, if this is the case, a bean bag chair will make the perfect dorm room furniture or a great discount couch for his new living room. So many ideas, so many options.
Thinking of bean bag chairs in a corporate setting, you often see bean bags in schools, libraries, daycares and children's hospital settings. They are wonderful for kids of all ages and offer a different learning and healing environment than a typical hard chair, the floor, or acheap couch.
